I haven't been able to think of good titles for my posts.

This week was an okay one, overall. I procrastinated a lot on homework. Especially on my English ISP presentation, which is due in like, two weeks. I'm stuck right now. I can't pinpoint a good topic---I went from researching women's rights abuses in Iraq to Judaism and feminism and now to Jewish feminism... And no, the last two are NOT the same issue.

Thinking of ways to analyze it in an 8-slide PowerPoint presentation is also killing me...

So let me take a break now and reflect the events of this week.

Sunday: Ordered new glasses. They are red, though not too bright and conspicuous, with white (and brown?) designs on the side. Maybe red can convince the world, and myself, that I still have a little passion left inside. It looks kind of sexy, too.

Monday: E-Action after school---came up with a crazy idea for petitions to force ARAMARK to provide PETHS with biodegradeable food containers. It was a waste of time. Lucian said that something similar was done a couple of years ago and that ARAMARK courteously agreed to switch if we found a provider. (Which we did.) So it turns out that making 50 petitions to stubbornly persuade a company that was all-ready persuaded is just over-dramatic. But who doesn't like a little bit of drama?

Wednesday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDRA!!!! You are so awesome, beautiful and nice, and at times, such a good prankster; you deserve all the joy in the world this sweet 16th...

Thursday: Totally failed accounting test, though I didn't know it at the time.

That's about it.

EXCEPT that I'm thinking of all the things that I should have said, but didn't say to someone this week. I guess it doesn't make a difference whether I tell him or not. In a couple of weeks I'll part ways with him (forever?). In a couple of decades, maybe, I'll have found someone else, some other way.

So it doesn't really matter. It'll end like any other unsaid high-school thing--unsaid, regretted, and finally, buried away in a pile of other embarrassing what-could-have-beens.

But it's okay, because I'm used to regrets.

Umm... Update
05 May 2008

Nothing much lately. 30-something days left till school ends.

I'm reading Vampire Knight on onemanga. As it's title kind of implies, the manga series is about a boarding school where vampires and humans live, love and learn together. Well, mostly love. The plot is totally cheesy, so I stopped reading the dialogue after a few chapters and just skipped to the scenes where the main character, Yuuki, gets bitten by a vampire... Very sexy... Soooo romantic and dangerous, the way the bodies are pressed against each other in passion and blood seals the bond...

As I said, the plot is totally cheesy, and the characters are pretty much all 2-D except Zero. Take Yuuki and Kaname for example. They're totally out of a catalogue. Like, you might actually find an ad saying, "Kaname: 100% pure vampire. Handsome and sexy build. School Prefect. Girl-saving feature included---Now for only $$$$". And Yuuki's just... a totally idolized, fairy tale girl. I mean, she's an orphan (like Snow White, and Cinderella), but I don't really see how that affects her character in any way. She is a beauty with two--wups, no, three beasts (Kaname, Zero and Aidou---Zero actually rides a white horse.) And she's always rescued by someone, usually Kaname, cuz every sexy guy seems to like her... Well, she's asking for it anyways, with her miniskirt uniform always flapping up.

But the blood-sucking scenes are hot. =)

Strange Incidents
09 Apr 2008

1. Strange incident in library.
I go up to the librarian to ask if she'd seen an ISP book. (Mine, which I lost.)
Librarian: What book was it?
Me: Um... It's a novel.
Librarian: (in a slightly sarcastic tone) Yes, I realize that ISP books are usually novels.
Me: Oh. It's The Red Tent.
Librarian reaches into a drawer and hands me back my book.
Librarian: I should charge you for this but I won't. It's been here for a week now. Here you go, give it back on April 21st.
Me: Okay. Bye.

2. My math teacher called me a nerd. And she said it with a negative connotation, and told me to be more active in class. sad

3. I need to watch Taiwanese dramas. It'll improve my Mandarin, and also give me something I can talk to friends about.

4. All this week, People kept reminding me, "I was just joking!"

5. I had a huge binge on expired chocolate bunnies.

6. I realized what a pathetic person I am.

Earth Hour: 03.29.2008
25 Mar 2008

8pm, Saturday March 29th 2008 is Earth Hour.

For one hour, show that you care about the Earth by turning off all lights and electronics in your home.

Also, if you happen to go to P.E.T.H.S., drop by the E-Action table at your lunch hour this week and pledge your support by signing our banner. smile

It's so important to show that we care. By doing so, we express our desire to make the world a better place. When we express that desire, we make a true and conscious commitment to improving the world----and that's half the battle.

So, this Saturday at 8pm, turn off all your lights and computers and TV's and appliances. (Turn off as many electronics as you can). Instead of going on MSN or Facebook or watching TV, talk face-to-face to your family and friends. Tell scary and embarrassing stories in the dark. Cuddle together under a warm blanket on the sofa. It's up to you. Show that you care about the environment by participating in this simple campaign.
